So Alice Huffman voted in favor of a motion at the Rules and Bylaws Committee, or the RBC. The motion was also voted in favor by Harold Ickes. The motion guarantees a seat for every delegate and super delegate from Florida. But here’s the funny thing. The motion only grants each of them half a vote. What is that all about? I’ve always been confused by politics, that’s why I don’t write about it often. But how things are today seems a far cry from when the United States were founded. What do we need delegates and super delegates for, anyway? And why is are motions that cut their voting power in half allowed? What does it say about Alice Huffman that she would vote in such a way that says, “I think some votes are worth more than others?” I’m getting really tired of hearing about the coming election already, and it’s only May!

I don’t have a hard time understanding why voter apathy is such a wide spread epidemic. With all the crazy disorders being diagnosed nowadays, why not just make Voter Apathy one officially? Then we can hold people accountable for inflicting it on others. The issues we have to vote on are difficult enough to decide on without people like Alice Huffman making the actual process of voting more confusing. That’s enough. I’ve had my politics for the day.

You are exactly right!!! This is the kind of thing that promotes voter apathy. To think that anyone, especially someone as smart as Alice Huffman and Harold Ickes would vote to make one persons vote less valuable than another is abhorrent! A vote is a vote!

Politics in america really confuse and amuse me. For prople like Alice Hoffman to cause such a fuss in the public mind just makes me laugh. Alice Huffman and Harold Ickes can do what they like but they have to live with the damage it does to their reputations. All in all, who cares?
