Some woman named Harriet Christian turned out to be as upset over the whole “half-vote” deal reached at the RBC meeting as I mentioned I was earlier. Except that she was actually there! She actually yelled out that she was going to vote for McCain instead! Now that’s a “whole nother can of worms.” But we won’t go there. Apparently she wasnt the only raucous one there, though. Plenty of people were yelling, and being generally disruptive. And understandably so. One person in the crowd is said to have yelled out, “How can you call yourselves Democrats if you don’t count the vote?” And I have to ask the same.

Harriet Christian got so vocal, reports say, that she was removed from the proceedings by security. Now how’s that for free speech? It’s like yelling out to try and stop a train wreck and being told to sit down and keep quiet, else you might disturb the other passengers. Well, kudos to her for speaking up. And props to the other citizens of this country that refused to act like we’re just spectators watching a bunch of pricks in ivory towers decide our future for us.

Here’s to you, Harriet Christian! Shame on you, Harriet Christian. Your fifteen minutes of fame were wasted on making yourself known as a petty racist.

A plane ride to the Caribbean might be faster. It is certainly cheaper to get to her island of choice that way. But if she wants to savor the luxurious views of the islands and the ocean, then a Caribbean cruise is best. I bet if she does, her church’s religious leaders are about as big a nutjobs as the ones that stirred up so much stuff that Obama resigns church. I think it’s only fair to take a look at both sides. I mean, come on? Pot! Kettle! Black! Anyone?

So what if Obama church is insane. You show me one that’s not and I’ll eat crow. But I’m betting you won’t be able to do it. All religious people are nutjobs.

I never really was one to pay attention to the latest trends in news. I found top headlines too depressing and avoided them. But I’m always lost when people talk about current events. I have become pretty good at playing like I have a vague idea what people are talking about when they bring up things like earthquakes in tokyo. I smile, nod and ask questions that make me sound informed but I don’t have a clue. I didn’t even know there was a bust at SDSU or that some girl named Jenny Poliakoff died of a drug overdose there. Most people seem to get their ideas from the Main Stream Media, and rarely have an original thought of their own. Maybe if more people were independent thinkers, we’d have less trouble and turmoil in the world. So I’ve decided to pay attention to trends and news in an attempt to stay informed.
