So Alice Huffman voted in favor of a motion at the Rules and Bylaws Committee, or the RBC. The motion was also voted in favor by Harold Ickes. The motion guarantees a seat for every delegate and super delegate from Florida. But here’s the funny thing. The motion only grants each of them half a vote. What is that all about? I’ve always been confused by politics, that’s why I don’t write about it often. But how things are today seems a far cry from when the United States were founded. What do we need delegates and super delegates for, anyway? And why is are motions that cut their voting power in half allowed? What does it say about Alice Huffman that she would vote in such a way that says, “I think some votes are worth more than others?” I’m getting really tired of hearing about the coming election already, and it’s only May!
