UPDATE: I shot my mouth off a little too quick. The article I had read didn’t have a direct quote from Harriet Christian. It only quoted people saying things like I quoted below. I had thought Harriet Christian was just displeased with how the democrats were handling the florida delegates. Now that I’ve had a chance to see the Youtube video, turns out she’s made some rather rascist, and sexist comments. The nitwit said something to the effect of “the only reason a black man has gotten this far is because his opponent is a woman.” What the heck? I take back my props for Harriet Christian. Turns out she’s a rascist, while I was just displeased with the proceedings in Florida.
Some woman named Harriet Christian turned out to be as upset over the whole “half-vote” deal reached at the RBC meeting as I mentioned I was earlier. Except that she was actually there! She actually yelled out that she was going to vote for McCain instead! Now that’s a “whole nother can of worms.” But we won’t go there. Apparently she wasnt the only raucous one there, though. Plenty of people were yelling, and being generally disruptive. And understandably so. Now that Brooke Mueller has married Charlie Sheen, I wonder if she’ll go on a Carribean cruise? Carribean islands have great weather. She might have to contend with rain or other nasty weather someplace else, but not here. And my favorite way to enjoy the Caribbean’s great climate is on a Caribbean cruise.
A plane ride to the Caribbean might be faster. It is certainly cheaper to get to her island of choice that way. But if she wants to savor the luxurious views of the islands and the ocean, then a Caribbean cruise is best. So Alice Huffman voted in favor of a motion at the Rules and Bylaws Committee, or the RBC. The motion was also voted in favor by Harold Ickes. The motion guarantees a seat for every delegate and super delegate from Florida. But here’s the funny thing. The motion only grants each of them half a vote. What is that all about? I’ve always been confused by politics, that’s why I don’t write about it often. But how things are today seems a far cry from when the United States were founded. What do we need delegates and super delegates for, anyway? And why is are motions that cut their voting power in half allowed? What does it say about Alice Huffman that she would vote in such a way that says, “I think some votes are worth more than others?” I’m getting really tired of hearing about the coming election already, and it’s only May!
